Richard Jeffrey Memorial Seat Victory Park

Richard Jeffrey was a worthy person who was a pillar of the Traralgon community prior to his untimely death in 2018 as well as an excellent Rotarian. As well as an excellent Rotarian he was member of the Traralgon Rotary Club for more than 50 years and dedicated himself to serving his local community.

To celebrate Richard’s life and his contribution to Rotary and the region, the club organised a project to construct a memorial seat in Victory Park. With magnificent financial support from the Latrobe City Council and from the Club the project was completed in 2024.

The seat provides a tranquil place to relax and enjoy the environment of the park. Please have a look, sit down and take time to reflect on the values of service and volunteering that Richard personified. The location of the seat was one of Richard’s favourite spots, a place where he could take time to contemplate and observe and enjoy the spirit of the Park.
