The Pride of Workmanship Awards Program is an approved Rotary program commenced in 1976 by the Rotary Club of Pennant Hills (Australia, District 9685).
The Pride of Workmanship Program enables managers in our society to help employees achieve the goal of job satisfaction, and publicly recognise them for their efforts.
Participating businesses promote the Pride of Workmanship theme of “Do it once- do it well” throughout their organisation and nominate employees worthy of recognition, not only within the organisation, but the wider community. Nominees of the Pride of Workmanship Program are presented with a trophy in recognition of their achievements.
Each year the Rotary Club of Traralgon delivers a Pride of Workmanship night to celebrate the achievements of individuals and teams locally who are nominated by their organisations.
In 2026, the club hosted an awards night on Tuesday 5th May with guest speaker, the Honorable Darren Chester, Federal Member for Gippsland. On this occasion eight awards were presented to the worthy recipients and a great night was had by all.
We believe ‘Pride of Workmanship’, the sense of responsibility for a job well done is still one of the greatest tangible assets in our society. The Awards provide local businesses / organisations with an important local opportunity to recognise one of their staff for vocational excellence.
If you would like any more information about Pride of Workmanship Awards and how to nominate someone, please contact the club secretary (glennsetches@gmail.com).
